Very cozy, rustic rooms in a beautiful old stone house.
We really loved our stay here, but there were just a couple things keeping me from 5 stars. It is an old building with old building quirks, that is part of its charm. The property is beautiful and I wish we had had more time to check it out. I can picture the fall color would be simply splendid.
I love everything about The Inn At The Shaker Mill Farm! The very special ambiance of this place derives from a combination of the historic building itself plus the two unique hosts, Ingram and Tricia. If you stay here and don't spend time with them you will have missed spending time with two people who would, if they were your Uncle and Aunt, undoubtedly be your favorite Uncle and Aunt. I've managed to stay here a bunch of times and it is never long enough; if I could magically pick the whole place up and move it closer to my home I would ;-)
Sure the rooms are small and the showers aren't great, but none of that concerned me. You need to know they have a dog and a car that have free range of the Inn. I am allergic to cats and we know it has been in the room, on my bed. My allergies were affected. Also, they have well stocked linens for their bathroom, but don't forget your toiletries. They do not supply them. That put a kink in my shower.
Otherwise, it was perfectly lovely and we will stay again!

Stayed here for two weeks in July 2016 and had a memorable and fulfilling experience. Hard to believe how well-located the Inn is; lots of local attractions, and yet tucked away in a quiet, secluded valley with a healthy, flowing brook. Stay here if you get the chance!
